Rabbi Ahuvah Loewenthal is thrilled to have begun serving the Jewish Community of Oak Ridge in January, 2024! A 2012 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia, she has served as a pulpit rabbi, chaplain, and Hillel advisor. She has extensive training in music and traditional Hazzanut (Jewish liturgical music).
Rabbi Ahuvah loved her two years in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv during rabbinical school, studying at a variety of universities and yeshivot. More recently she returned to Tel Aviv for a study sabbatical.
Rabbi Ahuvah is the Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association. She enjoys Hebrew, discovering new Jewish music, biking, running, and word games.
Rabbi and her wife, Dale Rosenberg, a Jewish educator, are grateful for being so warmly welcomed to Oak Ridge.
